Quick And Simple Fitness Tips That Work

Are you looking for simple ways to improve your fitness? Getting into and staying in shape doesn’t have to be difficult. Although there are many things you can do, below are some of the quickest and easiest tips that will help you improve your fitness.

Keep Weight Workouts Short And Intense

Training with weights will get you in shape, but the truth is you don’t have to spend hours and hours hitting the weights. You don’t even have to spend an hour training with them. In fact, you can get a great workout in 20 minutes. Keep your weight training sessions short and intense. For example, if you train chest today, then choose 3-4 exercises to do and do a total of 9-12 sets and do high reps. Don’t take long breaks in between sets. Try to limit rest to 15-20 seconds, instead of the standard 30-60 seconds or more.

Walk Every Chance You Get

If you want to get lean, then you need to do cardio. There is really noway around this, but many people hate doing it. You can compensate by walking whenever you get the chance and then you can count that as your cardio. For example, first thing in the morning do a short 10 minute walk, and do another one on lunch and one more after work or dinner. That is 30 minutes of walking, and if possible you should walk to the store instead of driving and count that as cardio. You might be surprised at how much more weight you’ll lose when you add 30 or more minutes of walking into the mix.

Pack Snacks

Pack snacks and bring them with you to work. Pack snacks in a container too, and leave them at home. When we say snacks, we mean healthy ones like chopped bananas and nuts, sliced fruits and things of that nature. The reason you want to pack them in containers is for easy access. When you have easy access to healthy snacks that taste good, then you’ll be less likely to binge on unhealthy foods that will ruin your body.

The above fitness tips actually work but you have to be consistent. You can’t eat healthy snacks seven days in a row, and then eat bad the next seven days and then bounce back and forth over the course of another week. You get the picture, so be consistent with the above tips and you’ll improve your fitness in no time.
